Essential resources to survive off-grid!
Off-Grid Resources has been curated by a team experienced in living off-grid with a house built high up a mountain in deepest rural Uganda. That exerience of going from all the comforts of home in the UK to a remote house with no running water, electricity and, until recently, no internet, has made us realise how little prepared we are in the UK for that moment when everything we expect as standard suddenly becomes unavailable.
How would you cope if the electricity suddenly went off for hours, days, or even weeks at a time? No electric means your combi-boiler won't operate either so no heating for many. How would you feed yourself and your family or even have that much needed cup of tea or coffee? Most of us have broadband and
no electricity means no internet as well because the router won't work. These aren't nightmare scenarios, they are very real possibilities that could strike at any time especially now as the world becomes ever more precarious with outages of electricity and gas widely predicted.
Yet being prepared isn't costly. A bit of forward thinking and most households can quickly and easily buy essential supplies to keep in the cupboard for emergency situations or even use them when out on day trips or camping breaks to make the most of your modest investment. Over the next few months we will be sharing our off-grid experiences and advice on products we believe everyone can afford.
